Address
Powerhub Business Centre, St Peter's St, Maidstone ME16 0ST.

Car Parking
Free parking is located at the TKO Kickboxing club.

The academy is located 11 minutes away from Maidstone West National Rail Station and 9 minutes away from Maidstone East. Both stations have links to the South East Coast and London.

When does wrestling training take place?

We have two groups that train every Sunday.

Juniors Class is from 3pm to 4:30pm
Adult class is from 4:30pm to 7pm

When should I arrive?

We would recommend you arrive at least 15 minutes before the training session starts. This ensures we are ready for a prompt start at 3pm for the juniors and 4:30pm for adults.

Are there age limits?

Officially the adults sessions are for people of 16 years of age or older, however we recognise individual needs and on occasion we will have younger members in the Adult class, (with parental consent) and older teenagers in the Juniors session while they are building their confidence.

Anyone under the age of 18 will require a parent or guardian to review and sign health and liability disclaimers.

The starting age for the juniors is 8 years old. We do ask that parents remain at the training session during the full session. We do provide free Tea and coffee for the parents while class is in session.
We also ask the parents to consider their child’s ability to listen and communicate with everyone, as instructions are to be followed to keep safe both your child and others.

What do I need to wear?

We would recommend sportswear like what you would wear to the gym. Indoor sport shoes or wrestling shoes can be worn and are recommended.

As you develop, we can help advise on other items such as knee pads and wrestling boots, but they are not essential for your first handful of sessions.

Can I eat and drink during training?

We recommend you bring water, plenty of water. Taking regular water intervals is essential and we promise we will give you enough breaks!

Eating is not allowed, but we do appreciate that at times you may need a bust of energy to get you through the rest of the session. So small energy snacks can be consumed.

Are there shower facilities?

There are no shower facilities within the gym. Toilets are available on site.

Are there first aid trained people on site?

Yes, all our trainers are first aid trained and carry the required certifications.

How much does it cost?

Your first session is free. Come along and join us to find out what training at the Gen Pro Academy is like.

Sundays - £7.50 per junior & £20.00 per adult

How do I pay?

You can pay on the day by cash, card, bank transfer or PayPal.

Do you offer training subscriptions & discounts?

Please ask for more details.

What level of fitness do I need to have?

If you are looking to get fit, then wrestling is a great place to do it. Every session starts with a warmup and a focus on general fitness. Wrestling can help you get fit. You don’t have to wait to get fit before joining us.

I don’t have any wrestling experience; can I still join?

Of course. The academy has been built to include everyone and all levels of experience from beginners to established experience professionals.

Does wrestling hurt / Will I get hurt?

There is always risk involved when taking part in any form of contact sport. You will be taught all elements of wrestling safely. If it is not safe, then we do not allow it. We will never ask you to do something if you do not feel uncomfortable or safe.

How is a typical session structured?

Each session varies and cover all the elements to become a pro wrestler. Sessions will include learning the fundamentals of wrestling and elements such as, move techniques, ring awareness, fitness drills, character development, promo training and psychology.
